The Green Hornet was a TV show in the 70's. He was a crime-fighter who had a sidekick named Kato, notably known as Bruce Lee's first major American role. You could probably compare them to Batman and Robin in a strange sort of way.

Jay Chou is a Taiwanese pop-star who has recently been cast as the role of Kato for the film adaptation starring Seth Rogen. I wonder how Chou will hold up playing a role Bruce Lee used to play...Is he badass enough? He is a huge star overseas, but this role may be ground-breaking for the second time by exposing Chou to American audiences. I wouldn't necessarily count this announcement as one "set in stone" since the likes of Stephen Chow and many others have also been rumored to be casted at one time or another.
